I know it has been too long since my last post. I got really busy with the end of the school year and I didn't have time to post. But that doesn't mean I am not doing things on my list.
Before I talk about my slumber party, I must admit that I did take my picture under a rainbow in April, but I lost the picture before I had time to save it. I was waiting outside my church for my small group and I saw a rainbow. I immediately started calling people in my group to see if anyone was close to take my pic. Kaylee and Dalton both arrived at the same time. Dalton took our picture and it was really cute but I lost it. So I guess I will have to do it again. :(
But I did have a weekend long slumber party with my small group in the mountains. The first weekend in May we stayed in a cabin in the woods. We had planned to be outdoors most of the weekend but it was snowing and raining so we were stuck in doors.
Only 5 people from the group actually made trip: Dalton, Dillion, Davey, Kaylee and myself. We decide that if this was going to count as my slumber party we HAD to stay up all night on Friday. We had a delicious dinner and then we played games for hours. Uno, Phase 10 and eventually Harry Potter Clue. For those of you who have never played Harry Potter Clue it really is the best version of clue. I am not just saying that.
Because of the snow we ended up having to make smores in the fireplace, it is tricky but it can be done.
Then around 1am we put on The Mummy. I didn't even make it to the almost hanging. But we were up early the next day. We were going to try to take a hike before it rained but we did not get the chance. Saturday was very similar to Friday. The best part of the trip for me was playing HP clue. After we played the game for awhile a few of my friends said they wanted to read the books now. YES!
We ended up watching both Ace Venturas, Sidney White, The Mummy and Mummy returns. On Sunday we made it back in time to celebrate Mother's Day. It was a great weekend and a great escape from work.
I wish I had pictures but no luck.

#25 Cherry Cricket
Hey guys, sorry it has been awhile.
I totally went to the Cherry Cricket 3 weeks ago and never blogged about. My bad:(
I just was not very excited about the post because I did not love the experience. It was not the company, I went with some pretty great people. I was on spring break and I went with several teachers from my school. Poor Ryan was the only guy, but we had great conversation and afterwards we went to see the Hunger Games.
The atmosphere was just like a regular bar and grill. The weather was nice and we sat in a sun room. Our server was good but not great. I was a little bummed because, I was really excited about going. I had seen it on the Food Network. I order the little cricket burger with cheese, onion, and bacon. The little cricket burger is a smaller patty, but they don't have a smaller bun. So I felt like I had an over sized bun.
In February I went to My Brother's Bar near the REI in Denver. They had better food, better prices, and a better atmosphere. I would rather be there.

Coming Soon!
First, I must update you on number 6. I was at the gym with my trainer today and I have lost offically 8 lbs, and that is after all that St. Patrick's Day Drinking.
This week I am on spring break from work and I thought this would be a great time to get something crossed off my list. I am meeting some teachers from work at the Cherry Cricket. I first heard of this bar and grill on the Man Vs. Food. From the Food Network. I have always wanted to go and now I finally am!

#21 a 5k
Just like Rocky I am a winner in life!
The day started at 8:00 am. That is the time I left my house this morning. I picked up my friend, Crystal, and we headed to the light rail. I was a little nervous about walking a full 7K; but I had my head band and skirt on and I was ready to go!
The light rail was filled with people riding to the race, and while we were
riding though the city we saw even more people walking to the start line. It
seemed like 2000 people were at this thing. I had a blast. It took us some time
to register and find where to line up, but we started in wave 3 around 10:30.
We followed the masses of people all around the city.
The first mile went really fast... and I was stilling feeling great. Crystal
and I were chatting and I am glad that I have been going to the gym. I am going
to be honest here. I was very aware of the fact that I was the largest girl
there. But I felt like that inspired me. I was the largest girl there and I was
keeping pace with the other people.
Mile two: We started to slow down, but we didn't care. We took stock of how
we were feeling and my legs were not hurting but my foot was bothering at the
top. Right before mile three, I had to go to the bathroom and we stopped at the
massive RTI that was along the route.
Mile three and four: The end of the race caught up to us. We were followed
for the rest of the race by a medic, a police car, and a long line of cars. We
were not alone at the end, there were about five other girls there with us. We
had a little over a mile to go and I decided I was not going to care about the
end.
The finish line: I was the absolute last person to cross the finish line, at
least I didn't quit. And my friend Crystal, who finished a second before me
said. "I think it is great that we were last, we can only get better from
here ;)
After the race, Crystal and I spent an hour looking up more races and we
decide we were going to try one race a month this summer.
Next week, St. Patty's Day Parade. I think I will be able to cross off
several numbers after next weekend.

Runnin of the Green
It is official! I
just registered for the 7K Runnin of the Green. It is in one week. March 11th! It is a St. Patty’s
Day celebration run/walk. I am going to
be walking with my good friend Crystal.
We are making cute headbands and green skirts to wear (my mom is
helping, and by helping I mean doing most of the work.) We are taking tool and making skirts that
kind of look like tutu’s. I will post a
pic tomorrow. Don’t worry about me
getting cold. I am going to wear the
skirt over my running pants.
Then the next weekend I will be getting up early to go the
St. Patty’s Day Parade.
