2, 20, 23 St. Patty's Day Parade and Drinking

2. St Paddy's Day Parade

I swear I am not drunk yet.
It was a sea of green in Denver last Saturday.  That was the longest parade I have ever seen.  I drove up with my friend Gloria and her two children.

Vanessa and Xavier

We were meeting my friend Crystal (from the 7k) and some of her friends at 17th and Blake.  They had a sweet spot set up right on the curb.

Check out our view!
I saw the begining and I was there for the end.  My favorite part of the parade was watching the dancers walking and twirlling.  I love their cute curls.

Irish Dancers!
I also decided that I could get 3 things crossed off my list today.  I went to the parade, but what is St. Paddy's Day without some drinking.  I have never had a drink in my life that early.  I started drinking a 7 and 7 as soon as I got there.  By 10:00 a.m. I was tipsy:) and by 12:00 I was ready for an Irish Car Bomb.  For those of you who don't know and Irish Car Bomb is a shot.

I actually drank two car bombs before 2:30 p.m.  I was actually really drunk.  It was crazy.  I was home and asleep by 5 p.m. The way I felt when I woke Sunday morning tells me I am not cut out for day drinking.

  1. I think how you feel the day after day-drinking depends on what you were drinking. ;) Sounds like quite an adventure! Slàinte!

  2. So much fun! You will be happy to know that I only made it until 8 o'clock... and that wasn't my first time. I can't believe you had 2 bombs!! You are a champ!
